Magnetic therapy is not just another New Age fad. There is nothing new about it. We're merely rediscovering a form of healing that Eastern cultures have been using for millennia. Magnetic therapy is more than 5,000 years old.

Just what is it all about? How can a magnet possibly have healing properties? It's easily understood when you realize that life on this planet evolved under the influence of the Earths magnetic field, and that the Earth itself is really a giant magnet. We actually get 30 percent of our energy from this magnetic field. It should, therefore, come as no surprise to learn that every living being, from humans to horses to dogs and cats, can be profoundly affected by fluctuation in the Earth's magnetism.

These fluctuations occur all the time, mostly because of the way we live. By spending so much time inside structures built from concrete and steel, we literally cut ourselves off from the Earth's natural magnetism. At the same time, we power our buildings with alternating current electrical systems and lights that interfere with the Earth's direct current. As a result, our energy is drained and we begin to feel rundown, stressed out and more susceptible to illness.

Magnetic therapy can be used to relieve pain and alleviate a range of health disorders. From arthritis and tendonitis to stress and seizures. There are several ways in which it does this. In the area of injury or illness, the cells are positively charged and this is what sends pain messages to the brain. When a negatively charged magnet is applied to or near the area it reverses the charge in some of the cells, thus reducing the discomfort. As well, scientists have discovered that magnets stimulate the brain to release endorphins, the body's natural painkillers. Magnets also promote healing simply by increasing circulation and reducing inflammation. Magnets do this by relaxing the capillary walls. This allows more fresh, oxygenated blood to flow through the affected area, while toxins are carried away at a faster rate. Any injury, whether it's a sprain, or break will heal faster under the influence of magnetic therapy.

Magnets not only help with pain control but also enhance immunity and rid the body of excess fluid.

It is important to keep in mind that magnetic therapy isn't a cure all.

How do I know what size to order?
When ordering your new bracelet or ankle, you do not want to take a tight measurement, allow some slack.  It is better to be a little loose rather than too tight. If the bracelet or anklet is too tight, you can flex and open the magnetic clasp and run the risk of losing your new piece of jewelry.  The jewelry does not have to be tight in order for it to work.

To determine the correct size for ordering a bracelet, place an index finger on the underside of the wrist and measure around the wrist and index finger with a measuring tape or strip of paper that you have measured. This will give you the size to order. If you like to wear bracelets a little looser, add 1/4 inch.

Use the same guidelines when ordering an Anklet. When measuring your ankle, measure where you want the jewelry to set on the ankle. Some like the anklet to rest near the ankle and some like the anklet to rest higher up at the narrowest part of the leg.
Or If you have a bracelet or anklet that you own now and you like the way It fits, measure It and use that as the size you would want your magnetic bracelet or anklet.

The same would apply for ordering a necklace.  Our necklaces come in 16", 18" and 22" lengths'

The average bracelet size for women is 7 inches.
The average bracelet size for a man is 8 inches.
Anklets usually run about 2 inches larger than wrist sizes.
